Welcome to the Lark and Laurel, Fort Benton's premier bed-and-breakfast experience! In 1877, a cabin of hand-hewn logs near the Fort was first owned by Patrick Whalen, a retired military and Civil War veteran. In 1898-99, a Fort Benton physician built a Victorian home around the log cabin. Accurately restored in 2010, this historic home became the Lark and Laurel Bed and Breakfast. We invite you to visit the Lark & Laurel, where history's heritage meets modern comforts!

Great little museum just off the river trail walk. Get icecream at the Wake Cup after going taken back in time to the fur trading era. If you like your icecream hard, the Wake cup is the place: The Freez, if you like it soft. Both places just steps away from one of Fort Benton's best relics of history!

This museum is the combined effort of many many farmers and ranchers donating memorabilia from past eras, up till now. So much to see, and a museum that has room to keep youngsters able to be active and keep from anything nearing boredom! Outside is a reconstructed little praire town village. Such fun!

An oak poddy-chair, estate jewelry, and furniture like the one in the photo, which was purchased rough, but done over. Can't find what you are looking for? Brad will take you into the back far-reaches where more treasures await. Still need something? He'll keep his antennas out till he finds it! If you need some leather repair work done, he is the guy. Walking bridge with benches along the way. Picnic, or sit and watch the Common Golden Eye, bald eagles, Canadian geese, deer, and beaver. The Mighty Mo rolls on past underneath you, and the vantage point is great to get a good tidy view of the town.

Lovely brick structure boasting the oldest Episcopal Church in Montana. Just one block away from the old Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, which makes for a good tour of lovely old churches! One more block and you can visit the Brother Van room at the Methodist Church!
